WoodWright is built in a working cabinet shop. Every feature earned its place by surviving a real job — real field measurements, real sheet goods, a real machine waiting on the parts. It exists because the tools this trade gets are expensive, closed, and hold your own files hostage, and a small shop deserves better.
It's free because of the builder's faith. I'm a follower of Christ, and this software is given freely as a way of serving the trade and honoring Him — plainly said, with no catch behind it. If that isn't your belief, the software is still yours, completely: the quiet verse on the drawing sheets has an off switch, and nothing in the app will ever preach at you. This page is just the honest answer to "what's the catch?" — there isn't one.
What keeps the lights on: the optional cloud AI, when it ships, is metered and paid. That's the only paid thing, ever. The desktop CAD — design, cut lists, nesting, drawings, CNC output — is complete on its own, free forever, and your files live on your own disk in an open, documented format.
